Volunteer Opportunities

The Puppy Mill Project relies entirely on the efforts of volunteers to accomplish our mission. We need volunteers in the following areas.

Event Planning

  • We need help planning all of our major fundraising and awareness events, including our largest benefit, Mothers in the Mills. Mothers in the Mills takes place every May on the evening before Mother’s day and we begin planning the preceding fall.

  • We need volunteers to become educators to give educational presentations at K-12 schools and camps.
  • Our educators will require additional training beyond attending a volunteer orientation. Volunteers must have weekday availability.

Community Outreach and Events

  • We need volunteers to represent The Puppy Mill Project and educate the public on a one-on-one basis by staffing tables at city and suburban festivals, pet expos, and other similar events.
  • Volunteers must be familiar with TPMP’s message and puppy mill facts, and comfortable speaking with the public in a one-on-one setting.

Peaceful Protests

  • We need volunteers to raise consumer awareness by attending peaceful protests on weekends at pet stores that sell puppies.
  • We are also seeking protest coordinators in certain areas to organize and supervise our protests. Contact info@thepuppymillproject.org if you are interested.

Development and Fundraising

  • We are looking for individuals with development and fundraising experience to assist with fundraising efforts on an individual and corporate level.

Research and Administrative Help

  • We need assistance with several research projects, data entry, and administrative tasks. This is a great way to contribute to TPMP’s mission from the comfort of your own home on your own time.

Have a special skill or talent that you think could assist TPMP? An idea for a new project? Please let us know and we find a way to get you involved.
